Announcements :

Beaverton Lions Club will install three new members at the regular meeting on September 1,2009.

Future programs will include Dr. Marty Balish, ophthamologist with Oregon Eye Clinic.  Dr Balish has performed 12 "Mission Cataract" procedures without charge, in cooperation with Oregon Lions Sight and Hearting Foundation and the Beaverton Lions Club.   He plans to have the cataract operations twice a year in the future.

Activities :

Welcome to the Beaverton Lions Club, a group of men and women dedicated to helping those in need and to making the Beaverton area and the world a better place in which to live. We are a very active and fun club, with an activities budget of about $10,000. The major source of that is recycled papers, requiring 30+ person-hours per week. As with most Lions Clubs, our largest project involves sight and hearing conservation. We also put a great deal of effort into children's services including Shoes for Kids, Flags for 1st Graders, a scholarship, a Scout troop, and Hugh O'Brian Youth. Come and join us.
